COVID-19 Preparedness at Mount Sinai Wellness Center
On-Campus COVID-19 Testing in Georgia
At Mount Sinai Wellness Center, safety is the utmost priority. We recently expanded safety for our clients by implementing on-campus COVID-19 testing at our addiction recovery center in Georgia, just 55 miles outside Atlanta. We are proud to use the Quidel Corporation’s antigen test, which is 96.7% accurate within 5 days of the onset of patient symptoms.
Testing our patients and staff ensures that everyone at our facility can recover from drug and alcohol addiction without having to worry about contracting the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19). In addition to testing, we screen all potential clients for elevated temperatures, flu-like symptoms, recent travel, and possible exposure to COVID-19.
We also screen our facility personnel daily and do not allow them to work for 2 weeks if they exhibit flu-like symptoms or an elevated temperature – all non-clinical employees are working from home.
Testing adds another layer of precaution and protection while we continue to practice social distancing and proper sanitization within our facility.
The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly made recovery more difficult for many, but we are committed to providing safe, uninterrupted treatment at Mount Sinai Wellness Center.

More About Our Tests
Antigen tests deliver results in minutes, as opposed to days. This means we can provide immediate and ongoing testing to all patients and staff. Our Quidel antigen tests are FDA emergency use authorized and allow us to detect and respond to infections as soon as possible. Antigen tests are becoming the standard of care at nursing homes and other medical facilities, and we are happy to use the latest technology to keep our patients safe. Upon coming to work, our staff will know within the hour if it is safe for them to work with our clients.
We want to help you climb your mountain, even amidst a global health crisis. Keeping you safe from COVID-19 is just one way we dedicate ourselves to your recovery.
