Aaron graduated from Argosy University in 2016 with his Master's of Arts and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Aaron has been working in the addiction and mental health field since 2016 where he specializes in dual-diagnosis of patients who struggle with substance abuse and underlying mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and trauma. Aaron's theoretical philosophy of therapy for substance abuse and underlying mental health disorders is to guide patients through a self-discovery process of identifying core behavioral systems rooted in unhealthy mental and emotional conditions which have had a negative impact on their behavior. Aaron incorporates several therapeutic interventions established within evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Aaron encourages and empowers his patients to develop and maintain healthy coping mechanisms and strategies to improve one's over well-being by examining one's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual conditions in the traditions of multi-modal substance recovery support systems so they can start to truly believe and be able to live a life better than the one they were living yesterday.
