I began my career as a registered nurse in a busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where my passion for helping families in crisis and bridging the gap of families dealing with substance use disorders began. While there, I received the honor of being presented the “Hometown Hero Award" by Gwinnett County, Gwinnett Medical Center, and the Gwinnett Braves.
After 23 years at Gwinnett Medical, I ventured out to pursue my passion working in various settings including Spinal Intervention, Adult Medicine, and Substance Abuse, while working on my goal of becoming a family nurse practitioner and then went on to obtain my license as a PMHNP.
I had the honor of training with amazing psychiatrists and have worked in a wide spectrum of inpatient psychiatric care units from geriatrics to adolescents, as well as outpatient and IOP.
Addiction medicine has always been my passion and I know the importance of treating the whole person. I have always tried to treat my clients and families as I would want to be treated and look forward to working with you at Mount Sinai Wellness.
